Hotstuff L1 currently supports the following order types:
  • Limit Orders: executed only at specified limit price or better
  • Market Orders: executed immediately at the current market price
Support for additional order types is planned and will be documented here as they are made available.

Time In Force (TIF)

  • GTC: Good-Till-Cancel
  • IOC: Immediate-or-Cancel

Post-only

Post-only orders don’t execute immediately but rather get added to the orderbook for future execution as a maker. Incoming Post-only orders which may be executed immediately are cancelled.

Reduce-only

Reduce-only orders only execute if they reduce an existing open position as opposed to opening a new position in the opposite direction.

TP/SL orders

Hotstuff currently supports placing TP/SL orders tied to open positions. These orders by default are reduce-only and can further be either limit or market orders depending on if a trigger price is set.
